At Reyes Winery, our story begins with a deep-rooted passion for wine and winemaking. What started as a dream to cultivate a small vineyard to craft ultra-premium wines for family and friends evolved into something more significant. In 2002, Robert Reyes discovered a breathtaking piece of land in Agua Dulce, California; with it, a new vision was born. What was once a hobby soon transformed into a thriving winery rooted in family, artistry, and a commitment to excellence.

In April 2004, Robert and the Reyes family personally planted our 16-acre vineyard, carefully selecting five beloved grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Muscat. The first harvest in 2005 yielded a modest crop, but as the vineyard matured, so did the quality of the fruit. Each vintage brought richer, more robust, and elegantly refined wines. By the time the winery completed its rigorous permitting process with Los Angeles County, Reyes Winery was ready to share its exceptional wines with the world.
Reyes Winery officially opened its doors in 2011, followed by the launch of our Tasting Room in 2012. Since then, we’ve grown and expanded, but our commitment to quality and artistry has remained unwavering. The Tasting Room is not only a place to enjoy our wines but also a gallery showcasing Robert’s original paintings. His “Vineyard Series,” which began in 2007, captures the beauty of our estate and graces the labels of our Estate Wines. In 2016, Robert introduced limited “Artist Proofs,” offering visitors a unique opportunity to take home a piece of his creative vision.

Our journey has been marked by both challenges and triumphs. In 2011, a frost claimed part of our crop, but it also inspired us to experiment with new varietals. We sourced high-quality Zinfandel grapes from 40-year-old vines, resulting in the release of Quinn’s Zin in 2013. That same year, we introduced 12 new wines, including single varietals, blends, and dessert wines. These wines have since earned 32 awards and medals, including Double Gold, Gold, Silver, and Bronze accolades, as well as ratings as high as 97 points. Our label design even earned a 2nd Place award, a testament to our dedication to both quality and artistry.
Over the years, we’ve expanded our portfolio to include beloved varietals like Petite Sirah, Malbec, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier. Our 2012 Syrah and 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon earned Double Gold medals and 94-point ratings, solidifying our reputation for excellence. In 2013, we also introduced our first “Orange/Amber Wine,” a skin-contact Chardonnay inspired by traditional Georgian winemaking techniques. Fermented in the skins and aged in French oak barrels, this unique wine has become a standout in our collection.
Since 2014, we’ve continued to innovate, adding Grenache, Pinot Grigio, and new blends to our ever-growing selection. Each wine reflects our unwavering commitment to quality and craftsmanship, earning us over 350 medals and awards since 2011.
