Reyes Muscat 2011 Meyer Lemon Muffins

2 cups of all purpose flour

3½ tsp baking powder

1 tsp kosher sea salt

½ cup non fat milk

½ cup Reyes Muscat 2011

½ cup sugar

1 egg or 2 egg whites

½ cup oil

3 meyer lemon’s Zest





  1. Sift dry ingredients on bowl.
  2. Mix egg, sugar, milk, oil and Reyes Muscat 2011 in mixing bowl.
  3. When wet ingredients are combined, slowly incorporate the dry into the wet.
  4. Fold in zest to mixed ingredients.
  5. Spray Pam cooking spray into muffin tin.
  6. Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees for 20-25minutes.
  7. Cool and serve.

Our especially small production of Muscat warranted the extra care placed on the vines in 2010.  This wine was meticulously crafted to enhance the delicate natural sweetness of the superb Muscat grape. This creation is fairly full-bodied with light acidy.

Ripe delightful aromas of orange peel and a hint of delicate spice add a pleasureable fine distinction to the background and a bit of complexity to the sweet orange flavors.
